That simple formula for success is why so many decision-makers across so many industries choose the Mobil Delvac brand.

We have established benchmarks for performance, protection and fuel economy that have helped fleets get more miles out of their vehicles by using the Mobil Delvac product range. To drive operational efficiencies even further, we continue to develop innovative support services that provide fleets with customized care. The intelligent, effective management programs and tools we offer today do more than ever to keep fleets operating at peak performance. Backed by world-class ExxonMobil engineers, the Mobil Delvac brand helps fleets by:

  • Delivering world-class lubricants and expertise – Using Mobil Delvac™ lubricants means you get additional expertise from our nationwide network of sales engineers, lubrication engineers and distributor partners. Support levels vary based on the size of the fleet, and range from product recommendations/optimizations from our sales engineers, to helping develop extended oil drain intervals with our lubrication engineers. In addition, our sales engineers and distributor reps are trained to advise on preventive maintenance and safety best practices.
  • Optimizing oil drain intervalsThe ExxonMobil Optimized Oil Drain Interval (ODI) Process is a four-step, data-driven process that evaluates fleets’ duty cycles and maintenance practices to help extend service intervals and safeguard success.
  • Analyzing oil lifeMobil Serv℠ Lubricant Analysis can provide you with a customized used oil analysis (UOA) of your fleet to determine the right lubrication solutions. Regular UOA keeps you informed on the progress of your business, and can help increase equipment reliability and reduce total cost of ownership. Plus, you can conveniently access your UOA online.
  • Providing industry insightsFleet compliance can help you find out what new oil specifications mean, improve the energy efficiency of your business and keep you up to date on the latest industry trends.

These tools and resources demonstrate how Mobil Delvac-branded products and ExxonMobil’s lubricant expertise can help your business – extending service intervals, improving energy efficiency, reducing maintenance costs and cutting fuel expenses. Ultimately, we can help you achieve your business goals and even lower your total operating costs.

Increasing oil drain intervals with Mobil Delvac 1™

With more than 400 vehicles on the road, Pride Transport is one of the leading refrigerated carriers in the U.S. And they are always looking for ways to improve their business. So, after years of successful operation using Mobil Delvac™ Elite premium synthetic blend, API CJ-4 diesel engine oil, the company wanted to find out what switching to Mobil Delvac 1™ LE full synthetic, API CJ-4 diesel engine oil could do for them.

Before making the switch, ExxonMobil engineers employed the Optimized ODI Process to help ensure success; the testing process spanned two years and measured real-world trucking operations with roughly 120 million data points. Pride Transport was able to push their oil drain intervals from 60,000 miles to 80,000 miles during field testing, and eventually switched its entire fleet to the full synthetic Mobil Delvac 1™ LE 5W-30.

But while Mobil Delvac 1 engine oil represented a clear upgrade during the rigorous process, the ultimate decision to change the fleet’s engine oil went well beyond performance considerations. An important factor in the decision was the level of support Pride would get from ExxonMobil. "When we told our local Daimler rep that we were extending our oil drains, he was very confident that we could do so because we had a great relationship with ExxonMobil," said Terrence Bloodworth, Director of Maintenance for Pride Transport. Even now, working with ExxonMobil continues to pay off for Pride Transport in many ways. "For us, the ability to regularly consult with lubrication experts about our oil analysis program, or other efficiency opportunities, or upcoming regulations, is a huge deal and puts ExxonMobil well above the competition."
